· A majority of the homes have gone through numerous remodeling projects that have upgraded the kitchens, bathrooms, and added square footage.
· Many homes have been completely remodeled and look brand new.
· Many homes have been torn down and replaced with modern two story homes.
The typical size of the homes ranges from 2,000 square feet to 3,200 square feet in size. They have a two car garage and well maintained front and rear yards. The streets are paved and very few of them have sidewalks as an original founding principal of Los Altos when it was first planned in the 50’s. This lends itself to the rural atmosphere that distinguishes Los Altos and Los Altos Hills from many of the surrounding cities that have a decidedly suburban feel.
